Update
March 17, 2020 | Posted in Uncategorized | By Alexandria Searls
We hope that you continue to be safe and healthy as we all do our best to stop the spread of Covid-19. The Lewis & Clark Exploratory Center is currently closed to visitors, and we will be at the Center for office work and site maintenance only, with no admittance possible. We look forward to seeing you in the future, and until then, take care.
With love,
The Staff of the Lewis & Clark Exploratory Center
Our Covid-19 Response
March 10, 2020 | Posted in Uncategorized | By Alexandria Searls
We are monitoring the Covid-19 situation closely, and have intensified disinfecting throughout the building, particularly door handles, bathrooms, tables, and metal surfaces, wiping each after every group of visitors. We have ample hand sanitizer and disinfectants.
For field trips that schools have booked for this spring or are thinking of booking, we will move your reservation to a later date on request, including next fall or spring 2021, if you make the decision that the current situation poses a danger or if school is cancelled. We may also ask for a postponement depending on the developing situation.
For March, we have moved to a reservation system with no walk-ins because of our current programming and school reservations. This will also help with Covid-19 response, because we can control the number of people moving through. There are two types of reservations offered: shared, when more than one family or group can book, and exclusive, when your group can have the building to yourselves. Please call or email for more information. 434-996-7282 lewisandclark@lewisandclarkvirginia.org See our Visitor Information page for more details.
Stay safe! By being careful, we are protecting everyone around us.
